About

Jack Fox

Jack Fox resides in Terre Haute, Indiana where he is associate pastor of eXchange (exchangemcc.org) and Director of ArtReach (artreachmcc.org). He also serves as vice president of the board of directors for Arts Illiana.

Fox enjoys working in acrylics, making use of the wide variety of mediums acrylic painting offers. Most of his work is loaded with texture, drawing the viewer in to feel the work.

“It happens all the time; people ask if they can touch one of the paintings. They see a spot that has some interesting texture and zero in on it” “I like adding texture to my paintings, even very subtle textures. I imagine that, months or years down the road, when the light hits the painting just right the owner of the painting will see something they have never noticed in the painting before.”

Fox is available for commissioned work. “People are usually intimidated to approach an artist about making a piece for them.” “But I try to make it as easy as possible. Most people end up giving me something with the colors they like. I have been given everything from pillow, rugs; armrest covers, even a bath towel.”

Some of his more recent work is on display at Juiced Café in Terre Haute. A private showing of his work can be arranged by contacting the artist through this site.
